  • About Me
Whether you are processing trauma, navigating personal challenges, adjusting to major life transitions, seeking relief from stress and anxiety, or simply feeling stuck - I am here to support you. I am a clinician that goes beyond affirming your emotions to challenge you, deepen your understanding of self, and promote your growth.

As a Muslim, South Asian American, neurodivergent woman, I understand the nuances of navigating cultural, religious, and societal expectations and trying to find your authentic self in the midst of trying to keep yourself afloat. This gives me the ability to relate deeply with clients, especially those who identify as first or second generation immigrants struggling with complex traumas, anxiety, or depression. Many of my clients are young adults and Millennials looking to address childhood experiences, life transitions and stressors, trauma, cultural issues, or experiences of abuse and relationship violence.

As a Public Health and Social Work practitioner, I recognize that mental and emotional health cannot be fully understood without considering the larger societal, environmental, and cultural factors that shape our lives. My approach blends traditional therapeutic techniques, including Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a public health lens to help you build resilience and create lasting change. In particular, I specialize in integrating talk therapy and somatic technique. My approach is guided by the belief that the mind and body are deeply connected and our body holds the wisdom to promote healing. While talk therapy has many benefits, holding space to connect with our body and understand the signals of our nervous system is crucial to healing and growth as we navigate the world.
